The fabric architecture is based on Shortest Path Bridging (SPB) and IS-IS routing, enabling the virtualization of network services over a common infrastructure—regardless of the underlying topology. This allows multiple, isolated virtual networks (hypersegmentation) to be operated in parallel, which significantly increases security and flexibility.
